Luckily, there are quite a few videos that can be uncovered with a simple search on Youtube. We made a playlist of these videos, most being helpful, but some leveling criticism on NGOs, indicative of what many in Romania think about them.

The first step in getting an NGO off the ground in Romania is reserving the name with the Ministry of Justice. This can be done by email, after making a payment. They will most likely approve it in 5 days or so and then you have 3 months to register it; you can extend the expiry only once by making another payment.

The legislation governing NGOs has been amended a few years ago. NGOs are still seen poorly by some parts of the press. As such, some of the older information is not accurate (e.g., tm-cnstasc, tw-rezden, hw2ong-f502-2706, ifnis-PDF, cntzn-mdlst, avp-modstut, song-25).
