Making sense of banking – Patria, BCR, Wise and sources of financing.

As summarized in the previous article, the legislation for associations was simplified greatly in 2020 and the requirement for a “starting capital” was eliminated, but some commentators warn that some judges didn’t get the memo and still require banking info in the file.

We contacted Patria Bank and even visited one of their locations, but nobody seemed to know about their offer (currently at 5 RON/month, previously at 3). That may be a blessing in disguise, as the other bank with an offer for NGOs, BCR, has actually 0 monthly fees.
