New Banner
Having created a few social media accounts, we acutely felt the lack of a banner, wherever that was possible.
We first asked Copilot what were the preferred dimensions, having already looked at our blog template and having inferred a 1600x1066 dimension, and they obliged:
X:1500x500 & Meta:851x315
Recommended X Header Banner Size
• 1500 × 500 px
• Aspect ratio: 3:1
• Tips:
• Keep important text/logo centered—edges may crop on some screens.
• Use high‑resolution images to avoid compression artifacts.
Recommended Facebook Page Cover Photo Size
• 851 × 315 px (upload size)
• Display sizes:
• Desktop: 820 × 312 px
• Mobile: 640 × 360 px
• Safe zone:
• Keep key elements within 820 × 360 px to avoid mobile cropping.
• For higher quality:
• You can upload up to 2037 × 754 px for sharper results.
That was useful.
Armed with that knowledge, we got to the prompt and came up with:
Create a banner for social media accounts with main elements to be found in the center 820x360. A long haired cyclist is on their bicycle taking a break and sunbathing. The cyclist's gender cannot be ascertained. The cyclist is smiling and has a milk moustache, exuding zen-like harmony. The bicycle has RECICLOP.EU written on it and it is very visible. The clouds in the sky are shaped like kefir grains. The bicycle frame holds a bottle with the word KEFIR on it.
Kimi was too busy and couldn’t pull it off, while DeepSeek wouldn’t do it but rephrased it.
A horizontal social media banner, 820x360 pixels. Centered composition. A long-haired cyclist sits on a bicycle, taking a break and sunbathing. The cyclist's gender is ambiguous. The cyclist smiles peacefully, has a visible white milk mustache, and exudes a zen-like, harmonious expression. The bicycle clearly displays the text "RECICLOP.EU" on the frame, large and legible. In the sky, clouds are shaped like kefir grains. Attached to the bicycle frame is a bottle labeled "KEFIR". Warm, natural lighting, soft colors, eco-friendly and calm mood. No logos except the mentioned text.
Microsoft Designer created an illustration with a physically impossible position, whereas Meta’s illustrations are quite decidedly featuring females and the writing is not readable or it is non-existent. Gemini created realistic photos except that there’s the same problem of back support that, while possible, would require strain so it’s a bit faked. Same goes for ChatGPT, though even less realistic. Perplexity did quite alright, showing a cyclist in a field, although it overdid the bottles: 3. Grok also showed a female in a quite realistic photo, and then a naked cyclist in an illustration. Claude was the only one to create an SVG, sacrificing esthetics in the process.
We were able to load even the SVG in the album below!
